Is your wood seasoned?

Answer: Current stocks fluctuate. It’s best to purchase wood for the winter months in late spring and summer. We generally sell out of all seasoned wood in October.  However, we do offer kiln-dried oak year round.

How much is delivery?

Answer: Delivery is based on your distance from us. Examples: 10 minutes = $25; 20 minutes = $50; 30 minutes = $75

Is stacking included in delivery?

Answer: Stacking is not included. We prefer not to stack, but we can add stacking for an additional fee.

How much wood is in a cage of kiln-dried?

Answer: A full cage of kiln-dried is close to a 1/2 cord, but not a true 1/2 cord.  We sell kiln by the cage, 1/2 cage or 6 pieces for $10.

How much wood do I need to last a full season?

Answer: The most popular order amount is 1/2 cord, which usually is enough to last the full season with our winter climate in North Carolina.

How much is a 1/2 cord?

Answer: A 1/2 cord is 8 ft long x 4 ft wide and approx. 225 pieces.

A 1/4 cord is approx. half of this (4 ft x 4 ft / 225 pieces) and a full cord is approx. double (16 ft x 4ft / 550 pieces).

Can I come to the yard and buy a bundle?

Answer: Yes, you can come to our yard during business hours and buy any size amount of wood. We sell wood by the stick.
